Spotlight on Clean Energy Event at Lakefront Brewery

Updated: Feb 14, 2022

Jeff Stone of Kapur & Associates, Steve Ostrenga of Helios Solar Power, Coenen of Conservative Energy Forum, and Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes

On Thursday, September 16th, 2021 RENEW Wisconsin Energy Fund hosted the first event in our 'Spotlight on Clean Energy Happy Hour' series. Over appetizers and Lakefront Brewery craft beers, renewable energy champions had the opportunity to network and discuss ways to work together to better engage and organize within the community at large. It was a perfect evening of weather and conversation for our first event! Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes gave a fantastic talk on the priority clean energy issues he is currently working on. He was followed by Lakefront Brewery owner Russ Klisch sharing the many sustainability efforts they have undertaken to make his company energy-efficient and sustainable. Jim Bouillon, the Government Affairs Director for RENEW, also took a few minutes to talk about some of the priority energy issues that we are working on at the Capitol.

It was fantastic to have 40 attendees at our first Spotlight on Clean Energy event and we look forward to seeing how the event will grow when we host the next event in November!

Thank you to all of our attendees who support renewable energy advancement in Wisconsin! Details for our next 'Spotlight on Clean Energy Happy Hour' will be coming soon!
