Highlighting Wisconsin's Clean Energy Manufacturing - Recap Blog

Updated: Oct 9

What a great turnout! On Thursday, September 19, the RENEW Wisconsin Energy Fund (RWEF) hosted a renewable energy social in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

This spotlight event highlighted the manufacturing industry in Wisconsin, especially the transition and opportunities in clean energy.

Retiring State Senator Rob Cowles was a special guest welcoming the bipartisan group of candidates running for the Wisconsin State Assembly including Jane Benson (District 4),

Ben Franklin (District 88), Patrick Buckley (District 89), Jessica Henderson and Amaad Rivera Wagner (District 90) as well as those running for the State Senate - Jim Rafter and Jamie Wall (District 30), and Senator Eric Wimberger (District 2).

Joining the current and future policymakers were representatives from the renewable and manufacturing industry, RWEF Board of Directors, and other interested parties.

Events such as this are a great opportunity to introduce policymakers to the issues facing the industry, meet with RENEW staff, member companies, and affiliated organizations in a familiar social setting.

With so many open seats in the area and new faces, taking the time to get to know candidates for legislative office and their campaign staff, near their districts, is priceless.

The guests filled the brewery of Zambaldi Beer, networking and getting to know each other while enjoying refreshments of beer, sausage, cheese, and pretzels so much so that we didn’t even take pictures!

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us to learn more about RENEW, clean energy manufacturing, and renewables.
